Health Tips for Busy Entrepreneurs

Amidst our busy schedule and changing lifestyles almost all of us have forgotten how to stay healthy. This is the reason for so many problems that exist in each and everyone’s life. Various health issues like Hyper tension, Diabetes, cholesterol, and many more chronic disorders occur and subsequently we end up getting fatigue and depressed. At times a sheer negligence of this would even drag us to divorce. Thus health when not given due respect, may lead us to problems from trivial to serious.

Business men and women who keep themselves fully occupied are vulnerable to shirk health,    just like business, they have to take care of themselves too. Making any changes to correct an unhealthy lifestyle is tougher than it seems to be. But a clear awareness towards good health and a serious grit to integrate it will definitely help an entrepreneur to become healthy and fit.

 

Here are a few tips for the entrepreneurs to remain healthy

  • First and foremost, start believing in fitness and health. To prioritize your wellness above all, write down all the benefits fitness will provide in all facets of your life. From boosting confidence, to increasing energy, to rocking a power suit. Whatever your reasons, post them around your home and office then refer to them when you feel like skipping out on your workout.
  • To cultivate the habit of doing exercise on a regular basis, you fix up a particular time, both morning and evening, for your exercise regime. Always choose to stay in hotels which have gyms. Unless an emergency forces you, don’t pick phones during this duration.
  • Balanced diet gives us the nutrients essential for the functioning of the body. Follow a diet chart for three meal course with a balanced ratio of proteins, minerals, carbohydrates, fat and dietary fiber. Eat at least five portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day. Keep a watch on the calorie in the food consumed by you. Try to substitute your second and third coffee with green tea rich in antioxidant.
  • Go to Bed early; do not compromise on sleep because incorrect sleep patterns lead us to serious health complications. Sleep at least for 6 to 7 hrs at nights. Never allow the latest electronic gadgets to rule you over in your bedroom at bed time since it affects melatonin levels and also obstruct sleep. The right amount of sleep at nights and a nap at afternoons would always guarantee a brisk and healthy life.
  • It is better to cultivate the habit of multi tasking due to lack of time .Carry on business conversations while you’re climbing stairs. Read or dictate business proposals and briefs while you’re busting it on the treadmill.
  • Business men have to take business lunch and dinners most of the time. In such situations it is wiser to choose low-calorie options. .  Also, If you’re imbibing, choose alcoholic beverages without high-calorie mixers like vodka/soda water, a glass of wine, tequila on the rocks or a martini

 

Some quick tips

Enjoy going for walk during mornings.

Keep a bottle of water by your side always.

Correct your sitting posture when working either with your desktop or laptop computer.

Practice yoga

Meditate for 5 to 10 minutes, whenever time permits in order to manage your work stress.

Take stairs and avoid lifts or escalators whenever possible.

Go for master check up once in a year and regular ones in case you have any health problem.

Practice laughter therapy; it is a stress relieving medicine

Give space for your passion too.

Relish your food, however busy you are.

Install a calorie counting app in your phone and use it while buying foodies.
